1. Buying local produce helps support a local family

When you buy from an individual at the farmers market you are helping a local family. People who sell local are more likely to buy local as well. It keeps money in the “local” ring and away from the big Corporations. When you spend money at the farmers market you are helping that family provide for themselves and their children and in turn they provide you with the best locally grown, locally made, locally raised foods and goods!

2. Downtown Denison Farmer’s Market Hours

We have moved around a lot it seems in the past few years! Currently we are open from 9am-Noon on Saturday mornings in the field that is better known as the “700 block” of Main Street in Downtown Denison. We don’t have a set time or date on the Wednesday market at this time. Watch Facebook for updates or you can text 469-712-9122 with questions!

3. Know Your Local Farmer

You can ask any of our farmers/vendors about their farming practices. We all do it a little differently! Doesn’t it make you feel good to know who took the time to grow your food?

4. Covid-19 and the Downtown Denison Farmer’s Market

We are respectfully requesting that everyone maintain the social distancing standard in place by Governor Abbott. Being an open air market you are less likely to contract the virus but we would still appreciate it if everyone would follow the CDC guidelines for social distancing. It makes everyone else feel better if you keep your distance!

5. New Vendors Always Wanted

We are currently seeking more produce vendors. If you grow it at home, we would love to have you at market. We are also accepting new craft vendors. We have a handful of new vendors at the market this year and we are so glad to have you all join us. The application is on the website: www.downtowndenisonfarmersmarket.com – click on the FORMS tab and email your application to [email protected].

We look forward to having you join us at the Downtown Denison Farmer’s Market!
