Lost Dog Rescued From Cave

A team working a cave north of Perrysville, Missouri, ended up conducting a rescue mission. Rick Haley and Gerry Keene, who led the team for the Cave Research Foundation, found a dog about 200 feet inside the main passage of the cave. It turned out that the dog, named Abby, had been missing from her home for two months. Paw prints indicated that she fell into the cave through a 12-foot-deep pit entrance. The team used a duffle bag and blankets to protect the pup while they hauled her to the surface. Abby was grubby and very hungry but uninjured.
