===============================================================

Your Hometown Radio Stations – 93.1 KMKT, 97.5 KLAK and Mad Rock 102.5 – are delighted to bring you our 23rd Annual Bob Skaggs Memorial Food Drive – presented by Tyson Foods & Lankford Roofing – Monday, November 25th through Wednesday, November 27th!

This year we celebrate 23 years of helping local families have enough food to eat through the Salvation Army of Grayson County’s food pantry. Last year, in 2018, you donated a whopping 50 pallets of canned goods & non-perishable food items!

With your help, we can bring in even more donations in 2019!

So, please get with your family, neighbors & co-workers now and start collecting your canned goods, other non-perishable items & cash donations for this year’s food drive. That way you can bring them all to us as we broadcast LIVE from the Walmart Super Center in Sherman (Hwys 75 & 82) for the two & a half days before Thanksgiving. We’re keeping the EXTENDED hours we’ve had the last couple of years to give you more time to bring your donations to us later in the evening. We’ll accept your donations from 6am-8pm on Monday, November 25th, 6am-8pm on Tuesday, November 26th and from 6am-Noon on Wednesday, November 27th.

So, what kinds of non-perishable food & other items are needed? Here’s that info from our friends at the Salvation Army of Grayson County:

Every year the Salvation Army in Grayson County serves more than 15,000 pounds of food each month through meals to the homeless and food pantry operations.

An estimated 22% of our neighbors in Grayson County don’t know where their next meal is coming from. The amount of food provided to each household depends upon the household size, the ages of household members, and special nutritional needs of the household. When available, personal care and household supplies are also included.

The Annual KMKT/KLAK/KMAD Bob Skaggs Memorial Food Drive is the largest food drive benefiting the Salvation Army in the State of Texas. Each and every item received in this food drive stays in Grayson County.
