Teacher Leaves $1 Million In Her Will For Her Students

A beloved New Jersey school teacher who passed away in 2011 is still leaving her mark on the district in a huge way.

The special education teacher amended her will to leave $1 million to the school — specifically to help special education students.

Beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, a $25,000 scholarship will be awarded to one special education student who is either going to college or a trade school.

Her gift will be kept in an interest-earning account so that it will help a student each year for more than 40 years.

She had no kids of her own and the school was the most important thing in her life. She didn’t live a very lavish lifestyle, so she was able to amass a small fortune just from saving.
