Coleman High School Hosts Blood Drive March 26

March 12, 2014 ─ Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) and Coleman High School have teamed up to save the lives of those in local hospitals.  A blood drive will be held in the library, Wednesday, March 26, between 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Those who are healthy and 16 years* or older can typically give blood.

All blood donors will also receive a “FEEL BOLD” T-shirt, free health screenings and Donor Rewards Points.

Blood donors can choose to forgo the T-shirt. Then, funds designated for this item will be donated to Global Blood Fund, a nonprofit that supports struggling blood centers abroad.

Providing every drop of blood needed by patients in 140 medical facilities across the state, Oklahoma Blood Institute is the ninth largest, non-profit blood center in America. For more information or to make an appointment, call 877-340-8777 or visit 

* 16 year olds must weigh at least 125 pounds and provide signed parental permission, 17 year olds must weigh at least 125 pounds, 18+ year olds must weigh at least 110 pounds.
