Caring For Our Elders Senior Care Forum

Feb 22, 2014 10:00am - 2:30pm
My Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I greet you with the love, passion, and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We at Hill Chapel would like to invite you and the members of your faith community to join with us in a learning opportunity aimed at empowering individuals and families with the information needed to navigate the waters of caring for family members who have reached their golden years. Unfortunately, it is a sad fact that our senior members are often faced with the realities of blatant neglect as they are burdened with the weight of failing health, diminishing revenue, and escalating costs of living. These realities give def-inition to a context of living that is reflective of one who exists in a state of hopelessness. We believe that this does not reflect the will of Christ.
We have partnered together with agencies, whose goal is to promote and provide an increased quality of life through improved health care and sound ethical planning for future needs, to offer a seminar for those who would find themselves with the challenge and charge to care for senior and disabled family members. The seminar will include information on health care options, social security bene-fits available, health care priorities, and final planning needs. Professionals from local and regional hospitals, social agencies, and medical practitioners as well as final planning services will be present.
The seminar, which is sponsored by the Hill Chapel Senior Care Ministry, will take place at Hill Chapel on Saturday, February 22nd. We will convene at 10:00 a.m. and will wrap up at 2:30 p.m. We will be providing a light breakfast and lunch. We do ask that attendees please RSVP by calling and leaving a message at 972-423-4090.
We thank you for taking the time to give attention to this note and ask that you keep this ministry and our faith community lifted in prayer.

Yours in the Ministry of Christ,
C. John Ford, Jr.
Sr. Pastor
