Benefit Auction held for Riley Sprowl

Jan 25, 2014 5:00pm - 11:00pm

There will be a benefit auction held for Riley Sprowl on Saturday, January 25th at Kings Trail Cowboy Church located at 498 Bethel Cannon Road, Whitewright, TX (halfway between Van Alstyne and Whitewright). As you may recall Riley was seriously injured in a sledding accident in December and will continue to rehab for some time to come. We will begin with a barbecue dinner at 5:00 and will start the auction at 7:00. The barbecue dinner will include brisket, two sides, dessert and drink. Dinner will be by donation only so even if you won’t be able to buy something at the auction, you can definitely help with your support of Riley and have a great meal at the same time! Auction items will include everything from cakes, pies and gift cards to a cargo trailer, outdoor furniture and equipment, electronics, sports memorabilia and everything in between.

If you would like to donate something to auction off or know of someone who could, please contact Chris Offill at chris.offill@gcec.net. We will then add your items to the list. Our community and this area has always supported its own, but please contact us before you approach a business or individual so that we can make sure they haven’t already been contacted by someone else. This will also allow us to keep our auction list updated and organized so we can be ready on auction day. We can also make arrangements on how to get the items to us or if we need to pick them up. We can be like the car dealer in Canton and meet you at two in the morning if we know you’re coming!

Riley and his family have received overwhelming support these last few weeks and we would like to keep that momentum going! Please forward this information on to family and friends so we can fill the church up on that Saturday and raise much needed funds as Riley and his family progress through his recovery.
