AUSTIN — Residents at the Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home in Bonham invite the public to visit for a special Veterans Day Ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11.
United States Marine Corps Master Gunnery Sergeant Timothy Cortes will serve as the guest speaker. Cortes served for more than 30 years in the Marine Corps in roles ranging from consultant to the People’s Republic of China Marine Corps, overseeing the counter improvised explosive device integration center in Iraq and training the Afghan National Army.
The veterans living at the Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home will be recognized during the ceremony. The public is invited and encouraged to come and spend the day with these real American heroes.
